arnoldfunny-and-cute-mouses-funny-mouse-picture-002-funnypica-com_No, it’s not Arnold Schwarzenegger, but he could be Austrian or Dutch …   How do I know?  Because the mouse in our house has been into my pantry and out of all of the choices he had (and there were many tasty things in there!), he chose rye crisps, the kind you get in specialty Dutch stores.  So, now we know two things about this mouse — he likes butter tarts and rye crisps.  Luckily he’s not Italian, because there were lots of different kinds of pasta in the cupboard and he didn’t try even one!  No doubt if we don’t set up more live traps he’ll be back again (somewhat like Arnie), and so far he seems to be a super mouse — he’s avoided all of our attempts at catching him!

And I’m back.  Back in the saddle that is … Have put on my big girl panties and entered the Clay Arts Vegas cup show.  Haven’t done this sort of thing in a while.  The deadline is the 16th, so I’m even ahead by a few days (most of us enter shows on the eve of the deadline!), and I think I’ll know mid-January.  I put these three pieces in:

Here’s hoping that one of them is interesting enough to make it into the show … and that the photos are adequate!  Hard to get cups/mugs to look like they do in person.  The handles always seem off, no matter how you photo them.

I’ll let you know when I hear from them.  You can watch me jump up and down as I head to the post office …

And speaking of the post office … finally got all of my stuff for Christmas ready to go there today.  Hurray!  One more thing done in the quest for Christmas!

Hope you’re having a great day,
