What a great day it was at the Colborne Art Gallery on Saturday.   People came that I hadn’t seen in ages … so lucky to have such support for our work!

John Campbell, the curator of the Visual Arts Centre of Bowmanville, did a great introduction for Lindsay, Brenda and yours truly.  Then people milled around for hours.  People asked so many great questions about my techniques and the work.  Such fun!

Great crowd watching our visual display!

Great crowd watching our visual display!

You should have seen the crowd around the visual presentation in the media room!   They were fascinated with the pictures of our work and enthralled by the visuals of the process of making the work — fire, smoke, kilns, glazing, throwing — all of the things that go into our pieces.   What could be better?

The aftermath of all of that work requires a sleep in and a week of taking it easy — March Break!  Monty (my grandson) is coming for a visit towards the end of the week, and tomorrow I’m just going to spend the day meditating and making mugs!  I’m in dire need of both.  Also found a yoga class right here in Frankford so may head over and register for it, if they’re open.  Thinking I might see if the massage therapist is available at the Day Spa as well.  Maybe I’ll get lucky!

A big thank you to all of you who came out!  The show is on for a while if you missed it …

Be well,

Susan
