As usual, there’s the plan, and what really happened.

Dust free for the moment!

Dust free for the moment!

Plan was, have a nice coffee, meditate a little, read a little, etc., on Saturday and then work my way down to the studio and get some of my own work done.  What really happened?  Spent two hours first thing Saturday morning on the phone participating in a Board meeting for the Dharma Centre.  To burn off some energy after that I decided to strip beds and do laundry  … which led to complete rearranging of the furniture in the bedroom (and consequently putting it all back when there was no visible improvement), which led to cleaning the floors, which led to decluttering everywhere, which led to hanging the art that’s been laying around since we moved in last year, and so on … and so on.  By the time that was all done and I got around to making dinner it must have been eight pm.  Every muscle complained about this day for sure!

Looking forward to the glare of the wood fire.

Looking forward to the glare of the wood fire.

And that was followed by Sunday … more Dharma Centre stuff, more cleaning (this only happens once or twice a year) and finding more paintings to go up!  Followed by a great workshop at Frantic Farms in Warkworth with Monica Johnson.  There’s a group getting ready for a wood firing (room for one more if you’re a potter who’s interested).  Something to look forward to … but still no work done!  Geez!

Today is toast.  Brent’s coming (my son) with Steffy (his wife) for lunch, and the day will be almost done by the time I get to the Chiro’s, etc.  I may be trimming at midnight.  Thank heaven for the damp cupboard or everything would be ruined.  There’s always tomorrow, eh?

That’s my weekend story.  Hope yours was more productive!

Have a great day,

Susan
